Our business is solving business problems

Who Sees You Coming?

You have a lot of competition out there. Some of it you know you can beat. Some of it you regard with downright envy.

But how do your customers see you? How about your prospects? How about your employees? Do they value what you're selling? Do they understand what you're saying?

Do they see you coming?

They should.

And they do when you deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.

Otherwise, you're blowing smoke. You know it and so do the people you're trying to reach.

Selling your product, or service, or brand promise is serious business. We believe it is. That's why we work hard in concert with our clients to craft a proper strategy, a strong tactical plan, and develop messages that pierce the noise of modern life.

With the right mix of traditional and digital marketing techniques, we help make sure your target sees you coming. (And knows how to respond.)

Things You Should Know About Us

You have something to sell. We help you sell it.

We started The Hoffman Agency in 1993 with a few simple core beliefs:

  • Positive results are what matter most

  • Our clients deserve our best efforts at all times

  • Our job is to make our clients the heroes, not us

Those beliefs have taken us into the boardrooms and marketing departments of some of America's largest businesses and into the inner sanctums of local and regional powerhouses (and soon powerhouses) in industries such as healthcare, financial services, real estate, manufacturing, and retail chains.

Why that matters to you is that we have lots of experience, in lots of business categories, in national, regional and local markets. We understand the complexities of delivery channels, supply chain issues, and making customer service work. That gives us the ability to help you see your problems and challenges from angles you may not have considered. And crafting solutions you may not have considered possible.

(A well-known marketing consultant once called it "seeing through a prism of possibility, rather than through a jaded glass of sameness,"but we think that's pretentious.)

Marketing communications is a business service, that's only of service when it produces the results you want. And that only comes from sound judgment, reasoning, analytical thinking, spot-on creative, and being slavish to budget, deadlines, and honoring your brand.

It's not just pretty pictures.

How We Do What We Do For You

You Need a Partner Who Knows When to Listen and When to Act

Whether you're selling a product, a service, or your brand image, the world has become a tougher place to succeed. Your market is fragmented. Attention spans are short. And your budget is . . . well, you have to do more with less. That's a tough road to walk by yourself.

You shouldn't have to.

That's where we come in. As your partner. An extension of your staff. Your trusted consultant who tells you the truth even when you don't want to hear it.

To serve you we:

1. Listen.

2. Help define your challenge, opportunity, or however you want to describe your marketing problem.

3. Help you establish achievable expectations.

4. Research.

5. Design a communications plan, creative strategy and media plan to meet your goals.

6. Use effective traditional and digital marketing tools, and social media tactics.

7. Help measure results.

Clients who use us best are open about their challenges, objectives, expectations and budgets. Or when they let us help determine those things.

Remember, if you don't know where you're going, it's easy to get there.

To solve your business challenges, we form a talented energetic team that moves from creative strategy to tactical plans to implementation and measurement with rapidity and ease.

Your team -pending your needs- could include top writers, artists, digital and traditional media specialists, web, mobile and app designers, public relations experts, and remarkable producers of radio, television and digital ads and content.

Advertising is Dead. Long Live Advertising.

Hype isn't always bad. Overhype is.

Digital. Traditional. Social. They're Just Tools.

The much-ballyhooed advent of digital and social media platforms tends to obfuscate what has really happened: We have lots of new media tools with which to contend.

The sheer magnitude of options seems overwhelming. So we take a disciplined approach to blending traditional and digital to reach your fragmented markets.

Traditional media is disruptive and intrudes on audiences as they're doing something else (like watching programs, listening to music, or driving). It's passive.

Digital delivers messages at unique points of relevance using techniques like search marketing, behavioral sequencing, and engagement. It's active.

The trick is knowing which tools are right for your brand and that reach your markets. Knowing the tools that bring your product or service to the attention of your prime targets at important points of relevance and get them to take action.

That's what we do. For you.

In today's digital age, it's no secret that content creation is king. But with creating content, it's only considered creative and engaging if it's seen.

Write for your customers and potential clients, not for yourself. The rest comes easy, right?

Urban Farms, Earth Day and the Value of Marketing

On Earth Day, I spent a good part of it celebrating all that is good about Mother Earth by tending to my two 4-foot by 4-foot urban farm plots in the middle of Jacksonville. Organic squash, carrots, bush beans, pole beans, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, and a variety of lettuces have pushed their way from tiny seeds to bright green and yellow plants that promise bounty and good health.  In fact,
